The British Council’s Connect ZA programme and Tech4Africa are calling out for representatives from tech companies and creative organisations to take part in this event co-hosted and facilitated by the UK’s CultureTECH festival. This 2-day event will see tech and creative practitioners team up for an innovation session to develop fresh ideas for collaboration. At the end of day two, the teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges representing both UK and African creative industries. The team(s) with the most compelling model will win funds to support the implementation of their idea in the coming year with one team being awarded the opportunity to represent Culture Shift at The CultureTECH Festival in Northern Ireland in September. Taking place between 9th and 15th of September, CultureTECH will host over 100 events and sessions celebrating ideas and innovations at the intersection of culture, the arts and technology. It convenes hundreds of international industry speakers and professionals, and is part of Derry-Londonderry’s UK City of Culture 2013’s fantastic programme of events.
