Airtel Kenya Customers To Tweet For Free In New Offer

AIRTEL KENYA CUSTOMERS TO TWEET FOR FREE JUUCHINI

Kenyans subscribed to the Airtel network through the prepaid platform will now access twitter from their mobile phones at no cost, in a new offer by the telecom set to close January 15 next year.

The limited offer by Airtel enables its subscribers to enjoy free access through visiting the web browsers as well as through the official Twitter app on the Android platforms.

Airtel said the three months offer was part of efforts by the company to provide an exciting opportunity for customers to enjoy the possibilities that mobile internet enables.

“Customers are increasingly relying on the mobile devices for accessing everything from emails to music to social networks. In conjunction with this trend, we are pleased to introduce 3 months of free access to Twitter to our prepaid customers,” said Adil El Youssefi, CEO Airtel Kenya.

To enjoy the offer, Kenyans on the Airtel network who possess data enabled phones will have access by visiting twitter.com from their default browsers or use Twitter Android App or the Twitter Apps on Windows Phone devices.

Customers wanting to visit an external link from their twitter accounts to view text, pictures, video and any other media will be charged the standard data charges, with a pop up message of any additional data consumption charges appearing on the screen.

Airtel Kenya allows subscribers to send money through its mobile money transfer service Airtel Money, free of charge. A move that rivals Safaricom’s M-Pesa, which charge fees of upto KSh110 to send money across the network.
