Airtel To Offer Insurance Cover For iPhone 6

AIRTEL TO OFFER INSURANCE COVER FOR IPHONES JUUCHINI

Kenyans who purchase the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from select Airtel outlets across the country will be given a two-year insurance cover against theft as well as accidental damage.

This will allow customers to claim a replacement for their iPhone devices from the Airtel store they made the purchase in the case the device is lost, damaged or stolen, something that Kenyans are well familiar with especially in the country’s capital, Nairobi.

The insurance cover comes as an added value to the default one-year warranty provided by Apple, and will be claimed by customers who remain on the Airtel network throughout the given two year period.

Also to be offered with the purchase of the iPhone devices is free data plans for a period of up to four months, allowing for free access to the internet.

Those purchasing the 16GB or 64GB variants of the iPhone 6 model will receive free 3GB data for every month for the first three months, while those customers purchasing the iPhone 6 Plus models will receive up to 4GB data every month for four months.

To activate the free data bundle, customers are required to key in *544*5# followed by the devices IMEI number and to check data balance through *544*3#.

The devices insurance cover by Airtel aims to provide subscribers of the network with safety and security providing them with assurance and peace of mind while using their iPhone devices.

The iPhone 6 devices are retailing at KSh 95,999 and KSh 85,999 for the 64GB and 16GB respectively, while the iPhone 6 Plus model devices are KSh 95,999 for the 16GB variant and KSh 105,999 for the 64GB version.
