ASUS’ Half-Phone Half-Tablet called The ‘FONEPAD’

ASUS, one of the World’s top 3 notebook vendors has announced the ASUS Fonepad™, a phone and tablet which will be launched across Africa in early days of May 2013.

The ASUS Fonepad is the first android tablet runs on the new Intel processor. It is an affordable and pocket-friendly option for a tab in the African market. Built largely on the the previous successes of the ASUS 7 inch Android tablet range, the Fonepad aims to bring real voice capabilities to a tablet, incorporating all phone and tablet functions into a single device without having to compromise.

Speaking on this product, Regional Director of ASUS Africa, Shawn Chang, said “Africa is a priority market and ASUS Africa will release all their new products at the same time with other markets. Users will now be able to enjoy the ASUS quality and value without the wait.”

This tablet was first launched at the largely famous Mobile Wireless Conference (MWC) in Barcelona early 2013 by ASUS chairman Jonney Shih.
