EA’s Need for Speed on the Nokia Asha

Nokia App Review Need For Speed Nokia Asha GamingI love my cars. Something about their ‘vroom vroom’ sound makes me somewhat happier.

If you are like me and making the rev counter swing side to side is your favourite past time, then you need to download NFS. If you don’t know what NFS is, then this article is not for you. But since I am nice and teaching is a noble calling, I choose to tell you that NFS stands for Need For Speed.

Cars give us a rush; a good rush. A rush to fuel and hit the road and tear it up like your life depends on it. But since you cannot afford the fuel that comes with tearing up the tarmac, let us stick to playing it as a game. And this is for all those who harbour similar dreams in their imaginative and adventurous minds. It is possible to get a similar experience right on your mobile phone. More precisely on your Nokia phone. Even more specifically, on your Nokia Asha. For FREE. Yeah I said FREE 😀

Go on and download the “Need for Speed” app available for download on Nokia Store on the Nokia Asha Touch range of devices. The app has two gaming levels, the Quick Race and The Run. The Quick Race gives you three types of races to choose from which let you test your skills on the road as you familiarize yourself with the game. In addition, you also have the option to select between three cars for the race, which are a Lamborghini Murcielago *gasp* LP670-4 SV, a Chevy Camaro ZL1 and a BMW E92 M3 GTS. If you are a car lover, you will most definitely be in a position to choose the best car to get you across the finish line first.

Lamborghini Murcielago Nokia Asha Gaming EAOnce you’ve had a go at the Quick Race level, you’re probably ready for other level called The Run. In this level, your character is on the run from the law and a deadly crime family, and your mission is to out run them all and try your best to finish first in all the races. *snorts like pro-driver in the presence of amateurs* The better you perform in the races, the more upgrades you unlock and this goes on until you finish all the races. In case you are worried about losing out on the progress you have made when you want to exit, there is no need as the game will automatically save it for you and you can pick up where you left off next time you load the game.

It is probably worth reiterating that the game comes free with Nokia Asha series of devices. So download if from the Nokia Store here and play NOW.
