Microsoft has long valued the importance of forging partnerships with various solutions providers in Africa.
The company perceives such relationships to be important especially as a way of responding to changes in business and technology market dynamics and it for this reason that Microsoft recognized Dimension Data East Africa as the “Collaboration and Content Management Solution Partner of the Year”, in Orlando USA, during the 2015 Microsoft Partner Awards.
This is the first time; Dimension Data East Africa is recognized in West, East and Central Africa against players like SAP & Oracle who also offer process automation, content management & collaboration solutions.
According to Hasmukh Chudasama, Practice Manager for End User Computing at Dimension Data East Africa, the recognition symbolizes their ability to creatively innovative solutions for client challenges using collaboration and content management competencies.
With the explosion of data within the four walls of Kenyan companies, Mr. Chudasama says that most business organizations want to make use of such data in platforms where they can save costs and increase their operation efficiencies. By collaborating with Microsoft, Dimension Data successfully deployed one such platform to manage Cooperative Bank of Kenya’s appraisal data.
This project enabled the bank employees to easily collaborate with each other during the appraisal process with the organization since everything was done on Microsoft SharePoint 2013 platform and also allowed them to interact seamlessly the appraisal processes without any travel to the head-office to have meetings with team leaders, reviewer and the HR department.
